Southern Illinois University (SIU) has entered its
second hundred years of teaching, research and service. It is a state
university system comprising two universities: Southern Illinois
University Carbondale (SIUC) and Southern Illinois University at
Edwardsville (SIUE). SIU Carbondale also has a medical school campus at
Springfield.
SIUC has its origin dated back in 1869. Today, it
