Financial Management Association International (FMA)

Established in 1970, the purpose of the FMA is to develop relationships between finance practitioners and academicians, to facilitate the transfer of ideas, techniques, and advances in the field of finance among universities, businesses and all other institutions.

International Business Association (IBA)

An organization of American and international students who have a common interest in promoting knowledge and understanding of international commerce. Department of Finance. Phi Beta Lambda

A student organization that helps build leadership, competitiveness, and social skills needed in today’s business world. It is a national organization associated with Future Business Leaders of America. Open to any major. Visit the PBL website.

Saluki Student Investment Fund (SSIF)

The Saluki Student Investment Fund (SSIF) is a $225,000 portfolio actively managed by SIUC students. The SSIF was created in April 2000 to give students hands-on experience in portfolio management. Through the SSIF, students gain practical investment management experience and acquire a professional level of written and oral communication skills. The SSIF also gives students increased placement opportunities upon graduation.

Besides security selection students are responsible for other management activities including: monitoring and evaluating performance, documenting fund management and preparing annual and other periodic reports, and presenting results on fund activities as required. Visit the SSIF website.

Pi Sigma Epsilon Nationally recognized as one of the most esteemed professional fraternities available. We concentrate on improving our skills in Sales and Marketing, but we are open to all majors. We offer positions in Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Sales, Administration, Human Resources, Recruitment, Communications, Public Relations, Athletics, CEI Administration, Historian, Social Director, Website Administrator, Philanthropy, Alumni Relations, CoBA Representative, and more. All members of our organization work together as a team to help each other with academic, as well as professional, enhancement. We offer optional social activities and hold fundraisers for charitable causes and for travel to regional and national conventions. We have excellent Alumni Contacts and Corporate Sponsors. Joining our organization will assist you in becoming more knowledgeable about the business community, the marketing profession, SIU life in general, and much more.
