Prospective degree candidates are expected to demonstrate a readiness for graduate study and an aptitude for successful performance in graduate level work in business administration. Admission to the program is based on the applicant's undergraduate record, a satisfactory score on the Graduate Management Admission Test, and other evidence pertaining to ability to perform well in graduate work in business administration. Special circumstances and work experience may be considered if presented. More specifically, the applicant must:

Meet all admission requirements set forth by the Graduate School. These requirements are outlined at the Graduate School web site.

Complete the Graduate Management Admission Test and have the results of the test mailed directly to graduate programs, College of Business and Administration. Arrange to take the GMAT six to twelve months prior to the semester in which you plan to enroll.  Have ETS send your official score (preferred minimum MBA 550, Ph.D. 600) to the Graduate Programs Office.  Code 1726 (MBA) or 1745 (Ph.D.). The GMAT requirement cannot be waived or substituted.

A non-refundable application fee of $45.00 must be submitted with any application to the M.B.A./ Ph.D. program. Attach your check or money order, payable to Southern Illinois University, to the top of the application form. Do not send cash. Only checks or money orders payable in U.S. funds cleared through a United States bank will be accepted.
