This year marks the 50th anniversary of our college, established under the leadership of our first dean, Henry J. Rehn. Dr. J. Dennis Cradit

Biography of Dr. J. Dennis Cradit

Dennis Cradit was named Dean of the College of Business in August, 2006, bringing 25 years of experience in teaching, research and business consulting.

Dr. Cradit came to SIU from Florida State University, where he was the Charles A. Bruning Professor of Business Administration, and Chairman of the Department of Marketing.

Dr. Cradit’s research interests focus on marketing segmentation, quantitative methods, and business-to-business marketing. His scholarly work has appeared in such journals as the Journal of Marketing Research, the Journal of Retailing, Psychometrika, the Journal of Mathematical Psychology, and Multivariate Behavioral Research, among others.  He has served as business consultant for a number of public and private-sector companies.

A Texas native, Cradit holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and master's and doctoral degrees, both from the University of Iowa.
