Reed Nelson, Associate Professor of Management

Professor Nelson teaches applied managerial research, organizational behavior, organizational theory, small business management, leadership and management, organizational change and research methods.

Since Nelson joined the College of Business faculty in 1991, he has been honored with the Graduate Teaching Honor Roll Award five times and the Undergraduate Teaching Honor Roll Award twice. In 2002, Nelson won the Outstanding Graduate Teacher of the Year Award.

Nelson has also taught at Louisiana Tech University, University of Texas at El Paso and at Brazil’s U. Federal de Minas Gerais, where he was a Fulbright Scholar.

Nelson earned a bachelor’s degree in Portuguese and a master’s degree in organizational behavior from Brigham Young University. He holds a doctoral in organizational behavior from Cornell University.
