Dr. Tadisina became Interim Associate Dean in July, 2007. He is in charge of all academic programs including graduate, undergraduate and auxiliary programs. This involves student academic issues and curriculum matters. He also plays a key role in the school's reaccreditation with AACSB International.

One of Tadisina’s major goals is “to serve the College of Business in a way that helps faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students achieve their full potential. Towards that end, I intend to do my best to adhere to the principles of being a team player, extending and building trust, and maintaining transparency and accountability,” he said.

Tadisina has been on the SIU faculty since 1986. Over the years, he has served as chair of the Department of Management and on more than 30 dissertation committees, of which he chaired or co-chaired a dozen. In 2003, Tadisina was recognized as Outstanding Graduate Teacher of the Year.

Despite decades of teaching experience, Tadisina never tires of it. “The preparation required to effectively disseminate cutting-edge knowledge in a rigorous way is an ongoing challenge and keeps me on my toes and is extremely satisfying.  Teaching is invigorating and stimulating especially graduate/executive teaching,” he said.

Tadisina’s research is in the areas of service operations management, technology management, measurement of quality and supply chain collaboration. His articles have appeared in European Journal of Operational Research, Decision Support Systems, Journal of the Operational Research Society, OMEGA and IIE Transactions, to name a few.

A native of Hyderabad, India, which is also known as “Cyberabad” due to its IT credentials, Tadisina spent his youth on the ball field playing  basketball, cricket, team handball and track and field.

Tadisina received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Osmania University in Hyderabad. He then went on to earn a master of business administration and a doctorate from The University of Cincinnati. He is the current president of the India Association of Southern Illinois.
