Thakur named Woodbury School of Business Scholar of the Year

Ramendra Thakur, assistant professor of business management at Utah Valley State College Woodbury School of Business, has been named the school’s Scholar of the Year.
Thakur earned a doctorate in marketing from SIU College of Business. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from University of Delhi and an MBA from University of Pune.
Thakur teaches marketing research, principles of marketing, promotional concept, marketing management, Bto B and B to C marketing and sales management.
Thakur is currently on the editorial board of Industrial Marketing Management, the international journal of marketing for industrial and high-tech firms.
In 2005, Thakur was nominated for the Richard and Donna Falvo Outstanding Dissertation Research Award and for the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award, both at SIU. He was the American Marketing Association Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium Fellow at Texas A&M University in 2004.
