Doctoral assistantships are available for qualified individuals and involve a half-time teaching assignment or research support in one of the four academic departments. Assistantships carry a stipend of $10,872 for an academic year and a waiver of tuition. Fees of approximately $599 per semester, assuming a 12-hour load, for a full-time student are not included. Doctoral fellowships and dissertation awards are also available for qualified applicants on a University-wide competitive basis. In some cases advanced doctoral students may be considered for appointment to instructorships.
